Don't let the romance fade!

Make your loved one feel special this year! Doesn’t he/she deserve it? We forget way too quickly how special our one true love really is. Men like to be pampered, spoiled and made to feel special too. Women often forget this. Just because many men have a hard outer shell, it doesn’t mean to say they aren’t soft in the middle. So this is a hub written for both men and women...

I’ve just thrown together a list of a few valentine gestures, gifts etc. to hopefully encourage a few people to get into the spirit. Valentine’s Day is just a Hallmark day I know, but it is a very good excuse to have a perfect day with someone you love. It doesn’t have to cost you, but it does take some thought if you don’t have too much excess money lying around...

Breakfast in bed with a kiss

A special love note folded up and placed in their wallet or shoe

An aromatherapy bath made just for them

A massage

Homecooked Dinner in Candlelight (with nice background music). If you can't cook, or don't want to cook; a favourite takeaway can be served up nicely too.

Dinner Out

Movie Date

A CD compilation

A hot picture of yourself

A framed poem or love letter from the past even a steamy one from the present

A night in a luxury hotel for both of you

One spa weekend for a hardworking ever-giving mother

Bake their favourite dessert...even make it heart shaped for that extra special touch

A bath big enough for two?... Champagne... Rose petals... Bubbles... Candles.

Do something with them that they really enjoy doing, but don't often get to do because it's never your first choice

Spend the whole day in bed together

A love text or a sexy voice mail

Put together a scrapbook including pictures, cards, love letters, movie tickets, plane tickets, even bus tickets...anything saved and treasured

Love coupons made with TLC

Nice underwear (worn or as a gift)

Play a sexy board game

Cards, Chocolates and Flowers never get old, but are expected

Not being able to afford much is absolutely no excuse not to make your loved one feel special. wild flowers can be just as nice as store bought ones and hand picked flowers are so thoughtful. A single rose in the hand can be just as powerful as 12 roses in a vase...

Ultimately, be the best possible version of yourself for the whole day from the second the sun rises to the minute you give your sweetheart that long, tender, loving goodnight kiss.

Lol, your hub is funny and to the point. I wrote on Valentine's presents too but didn't touch some of the stuff you did.

Happy to make you chuckle :p. It doesn't need to be serious hardwork though does it? Your comment made me smile, thanks x

Thanks for giving great idea of valentine. If you have prefect understanding with your lover then 1 red rose is also sufficient for describing your true love expression .

Great Hub and nicely written!

Thanks a lot. It's funny you should say that, because that's what I got last valentines day; was one rose. I think I actually preferred it to the bouquets I usually get. It was like my husband was finally taking into account my feelings on money wastage :-)
